Rosie passed away on the evening of May 10th 2012 after an illness which she bore with grace.
This site was originally set up to keep Rosie's friends updated in the final months of her illness (please click here for posts from April, and here for posts from May). The comments left by friends and family during those weeks, as well as emails sent, gave her much joy and strength.
Below are links to additional sites in memory of Rosie which you may wish to visit:
- To make a charity donation in memory of Rosie, please click here
- For readings and music from Rosie's service, please click here
- To view pictures of Rosie, please click here (you may send additional ones to the email below, which I can upload)

Dear Senora Rosie,
ReplyDeleteOnly a short while ago, whilst doing some much needed attic cleaning (20 years worth?!) I came across some old notebooks and a much handled Spanish text book featuring a Green Mussy (el Grande! no less).
Many good memories come with that book, but also I confess a sense of guilt that I have let my Spanish slip over the years. I have little opportunity to speak Spanish now we are living just outside Zurich, although I have be-friended my local Butcher who is from Argentina and don’t miss an opportunity to speak it.
I am keeping all my books, with big red correction marks, water stains, fond memories and all, so that one day my daughter too can learn from them.
She is only 10 months, but there is no age limit for green monsters, right?
Fondest regards from my mother, Janette, my daughter Isla Bella, my husband and myself.
